This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for delivering daily pharmacy program expertise for the National Employee Benefits team.
• Plays a key role in new business initiatives and aids in executing consulting projects for prospects and clients.
• Acts as the primary subject matter expert in pharmacy, collaborating closely with other health benefit consultants.
• Partners with Pharmacy Consultants and additional health benefit consultants to formulate client strategies, generate new business, and prepare client deliverables.
• Establishes and nurtures relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor.
• Analyzes Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) contracts and conducts financial assessments of a proprietary Alliant pharmacy benefits purchasing model.
• Collaborates with the team to create pricing models for evaluating client proposals.
• Engages in client conference calls or meetings to discuss deliverables.
• Provides education to local region staff on pharmacy-related topics and identifies key sales opportunities for coordination with pharmacy and local consultant resources.
• Reviews pharmacy reports and pinpoints key trends in comparison to benchmarks.
• Contributes to the creation of new tools and products that enhance client value by developing expertise in pharmacy best practices, market trends, and available products and services.
• Adheres to agency management system data standards and ensures data integrity.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent.
• Over 8 years of recent relevant experience in a consulting firm or PBM, or in actuarial, underwriting, pricing, account management, or consulting roles within a Health & Welfare consulting/brokerage firm, PBM, or health insurance carrier.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Capacity to devise plans for the execution of large, complex projects, maintaining a broad perspective while leveraging other experts as needed.
• Commitment to producing high-quality work that is client-ready, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-motivated attitude and capability to operate amid ambiguity.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment alongside consultants with busy travel schedules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with large data sets in Excel, Access, or other substantial data manipulation software is a plus.
