Pharmacy Benefit Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate effectively with quality management to aid in HEDIS adherence initiatives.

• Assist in the precise implementation and coding of pharmacy benefits, formulary updates, and program modifications.

• Evaluate pharmacy services proposed for denial and analyze data from plan providers.

• Aid in member management by gathering essential information from plan providers and pharmacy data systems.

• Contribute to various pharmacy initiatives, including utilization review/management, quality improvement, provider relations, and population health.

• Act as a pharmacy liaison and resource for plan pharmacies and members.

• Support the Pharmacist in monitoring and evaluating pharmacy utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or its equivalent.

• Valid Maryland State Pharmacy Technician licensure.

• Certification from a nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

• At least two (2) years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

• Prior experience in a managed care, insurance, PBM, or similar setting is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with supporting utilization management/prior authorization processes.
