Pharmacist – Part-Time, Evenings & Weekends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Verify Prescription Accuracy: Confirm that prescriptions are precise, complete, and in accordance with relevant regulations prior to dispensing.

• Perform Drug Utilization Reviews: Assess prescribed medications for safety, effectiveness, and suitability based on the patient's medical history and current treatment.

• Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Engage with prescribing physicians and healthcare teams to clarify medication orders and address any discrepancies.

• Patient Safety & Compliance: Ensure medications are prescribed to the appropriate patient, at the correct dosage, and through the suitable method of administration.

• Monitor Medication Interactions: Detect potential drug-drug, drug-food, or drug-disease interactions and implement corrective measures as needed.

• Maintain Records: Guarantee that prescription records are accurately preserved and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations.

• Stay Current with Pharmacy Regulations: Follow all relevant pharmacy practice laws, standards, and guidelines, including updates to drug formularies.

• Provide Support as Needed: Assist with administrative duties, such as responding to medication-related inquiries, to enhance overall workflow and patient care.

• Contribute to Process Improvement: Offer insights and recommendations for refining prescription verification processes to boost patient safety and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a bachelor’s or doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.

• Must maintain good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

• A KY license is preferred but not mandatory.

• Active immunization and CPR certifications are preferred.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

• Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

• Willingness to acquire additional licenses and certifications upon request.
