Personal Liability Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Investigate moderately complex and complex comprehensive personal liability claims, encompassing representative moderate and major CPL losses.

• Analyze coverage and scrutinize policy language.

• Gather recorded statements.

• Assess liability and damages.

• Manage demands and process payments to the relevant parties.

• Negotiate and settle claims in alignment with business unit best practices.

• Review medical reports for evaluating claims settlements.

• Coordinate appraisals for highly complex and disputed claims.

• Determine and articulate coverage limits and claim value.

• Establish and update reserves while documenting rationale and claim summary notes.

• Serve as the primary contact for policyholder attorneys and lead direct negotiations.

• Draft and respond to attorney correspondence, information requests, and demands.

• Research and address customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues.

• Summarize documents and maintain thorough claim system notes, evaluations, and decision-making documentation.

• Refer claims that necessitate additional expertise for litigation handling.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Possession of an Adjuster License; obtaining an adjuster's license is a prerequisite for employment.

• Strong experience in negotiations.

• Experience in policy interpretation.

• Background in handling third-party bodily injury claims stemming from homeowners, renters, landlord, ATV, boat, and golf cart insurance policies.

• A home office equipped with a dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions.

• Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

• An appropriate work surface and seating arrangement.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Not available to residents of California, Alaska, Washington, or Hawaii.

• Successful completion of a background investigation is required.

• Allstate typically does not sponsor employment-based visas.
