This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand situations arising from military requirements
• Offer a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families at military installations
• Conduct individualized counseling sessions, consultations, briefings, presentations, and referrals
• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program aligns with installation needs and stays within scope
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences
• Design and distribute informational financial resources
• Organize, promote, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes and seminars
• Provide virtual counseling using web-based tools, secure online chat, video conferencing, and secure video teleconferencing when authorized
• Manage duty-to-warn situations following Department of Defense protocols
• Communicate with leadership and engage in individual and group supervision
• Share insights on trends and issues impacting assigned installations
• Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contractual activities
• Carry out additional duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree required; an associate degree plus 4 years of experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu
• Over 3 years of experience in financial counseling
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Fluent in English
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract
• Capability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
• Ability to successfully navigate the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process
• Must possess one of the following credentials: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
• Valid in-state driver's license
