This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Deliver personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families at military installations.
• Offer individualized counseling and consultations for commanders, providers, staff, and various stakeholders.
• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and workshops on personal financial management.
• Provide referral resources during and after counseling sessions.
• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program aligns with installation needs.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended periods of absence.
• Develop and disseminate informative financial materials.
• Conduct age-appropriate classes and seminars on financial matters relevant to the military lifecycle.
• Offer virtual counseling through secure online chat, web-based platforms, video, or secure video teleconferencing methods when authorized.
• Oversee duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in both individual and group supervision.
• Report trends and issues from the assigned installations.
• Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contractual activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an associate degree with 4 years of experience or a high school diploma with 6 years of experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial counseling.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish may be needed as per contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Must possess one of the following credentials: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required.
