This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Offer personal financial guidance and management services to military personnel and their families.

• Provide assistance during short-term, surge, and on-demand situations arising from military requirements.

• Conduct individual counseling and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff.

• Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, and workshops focused on personal financial management.

• Supply referral resources outside of counseling sessions.

• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program aligns with installation needs.

• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.

• Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.

• Address requests for age-appropriate classes and seminars.

• Provide virtual counseling through secure web-based chat, video communication, and authorized secure video teleconferencing.

• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.

• Communicate with leadership and engage in individual and group supervision.

• Share insights regarding trends and challenges at assigned installations.

• Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, or an associate degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 6 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Proficient in fluent English.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract.

• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.

• Required to hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

• Valid in-state driver's license is necessary.
