This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
• Deliver support during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Offer personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families.
• Aid service members in creating a spending plan for prolonged absences.
• Create and distribute informational financial resources for service members and their families.
• Organize, promote, and conduct a diverse range of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Applicants with an associate degree and 4 years of experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a high school diploma and 6 years of experience may also be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English-speaking skills.
• If mandated by the contract, proficiency in both English and Spanish is necessary.
• Ability to secure a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is essential.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• One of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
