Persian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you will be interpreting (specifically healthcare and medical) - training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between clients and individuals with Limited English Proficiency by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Persian."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus, but not required.

• Awareness of legal terminology is beneficial.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare field is a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
