This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare and submit permit applications, which include comprehensive project plans, environmental impact assessments, and other essential documentation.
• Review plan packages for completeness and accuracy, organize compliance documentation, and ensure that all materials are current, precise, and correctly filed.
• Maintain project trackers, portals, and filing systems, guaranteeing that all documentation is well-organized, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
• Collaborate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and client-side design teams to clarify and gather plan submission requirements.
• Monitor and follow up on application statuses, proactively addressing any potential delays or issues that may arise.
• Communicate with local governments and regulatory agencies to confirm and remain informed about current zoning ordinances, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of plan packages and related documents for submission to local authorities.
• Support permit filings, manage client communications regarding permit-related inquiries, and provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial permit coordination.
• Experience in administration, project coordination, or clerical work.
• Background in permitting, construction, government administration, regulatory administration, real estate, or related fields.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities, along with keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Airtable, Notion, G-Suite, and a willingness to learn new software.
