This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and uphold automated performance testing frameworks that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.

• Establish and monitor performance KPIs such as response time, throughput, resource utilization, latency, and error rates.

• Execute load, stress, and scalability testing in environments with multi-tenant and concurrent-user conditions.

• Create and oversee performance dashboards while delivering reports at both executive and technical levels.

• Carry out real-time monitoring, observability, and telemetry setup to assess application and infrastructure performance.

• Work collaboratively with developers, QA, SREs, and operations teams to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.

• Validate critical workflows and use cases, which include long-running queries, search operations, and API endpoints.

• Capture and relay metrics for CPU, memory, disk, network, and application-specific logs.

• Contribute to the performance section of Monthly Status Reports and sprint documentation.

• Align the performance testing strategy with DevSecOps and MLOps processes.

• Develop and implement formal performance test plans.

• Create and maintain detailed test plans and reports.

• Verify and validate functionality in accordance with system requirements.

• Provide support for IaaS and PaaS cloud solution resources to facilitate secure handling of sensitive workloads.

• Design and configure server, network, and software setups for cloud infrastructure and applications utilizing DevOps principles.

• Participate as part of an agile development team in the Case Management Modernization Program for the Administrative Office of the US Courts.

• Aid in the modernization of a cloud-based case management system intended to succeed CM/ECF across over 204 federal courts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.

• More than 5 years of relevant experience.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in deploying and managing applications and systems in commercial and private cloud environments.

• Background in performance engineering and automated testing for cloud-based applications and platforms.

• Strong proficiency in JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or k6.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, or Elastic Stack.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices testing strategies.

• Strong grasp of performance characteristics in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with telemetry frameworks and logging standards.

• Ability to analyze substantial volumes of test data, discern trends, and facilitate root cause analysis and tuning.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and engaging in sprint ceremonies.

• Experience in implementing DevSecOps using GitOps or similar tools.

• Background in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.

• Working knowledge of source version control along with build and release methodologies and tools.

• Extensive hands-on experience with test planning, test cases/scripts, test automation, performance test execution, and results analysis.

• Familiarity with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS concepts.

• Experience in supporting large-scale IaaS/PaaS infrastructure migrations and application transitions to AWS or Azure.

• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust position with the Administrative Office of the US Courts.

• Must qualify as a US Person: Green Card Holder, US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee, or US Citizen.
