• Serves as the main liaison for designated customers, cultivating strong and collaborative partnerships.
• Delivers exceptional customer support through regular in-person visits.
• Conducts shop audits to verify that Axalta’s equipment is functioning properly, Axalta products are utilized correctly, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
• Evaluates cost and productivity key performance indicators (KPIs) and discusses findings with customer management.
• Oversees the budget for each center, ensuring that monthly expenditures remain within established limits.
• Collaborates closely with the servicing distribution partner (jobber) to maintain adequate support and inventory levels.
• Identifies and recommends process enhancements to eliminate obstacles faced by the customer.
• Maintains a structured communication strategy with a consistent call schedule, thoroughly documenting customer interactions in Salesforce (SFDC) and promptly following up on issues.
• Leverages technology (SharePoint, Salesforce, Office365, etc.) to boost individual productivity and improve communication with both the team and customers.
• Engages local Axalta teams and involves relevant resources for additional assistance when required.
• A seasoned sales professional with a background in Automotive Refinish and a proven track record of successful customer support.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the Automotive Refinish industry.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be willing and able to travel over 50% of the time.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• Strong understanding of repair shop operations along with distribution fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Axalta’s core (APL) product lines.
• Possesses strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibits a professional demeanor when interacting with all levels of customers and internal teams.
• Self-disciplined and able to perform effectively in unstructured and independent environments.
• Proven effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write call reports and follow-up summary letters.
• Proficient in Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating reports, presentations, pivot tables, etc., to provide data-driven insights.
