This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main administrator and contact for all employee leaves of absence.
• Oversee the complete LOA process: intake, documentation, certification tracking, communication with the employee and their supervisor, return-to-work coordination, and record management.
• Ensure that LOA administration adheres to relevant federal, state, and local laws.
• Function as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and issues.
• Conduct or assist in investigations regarding employee complaints, policy breaches, and workplace issues.
• Provide managers with clear and practical guidance on performance documentation, disciplinary actions, accommodations, and employee matters.
• Manage HRIS (Rippling), including employee record maintenance.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with significant ownership of functional People Ops responsibilities.
• Direct experience in administering leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave regulations.
• Experience in managing employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and guidance for managers.
• Proficient understanding of employment law and compliance obligations across various states.
• Proven ability to build, document, and enhance processes and workflows.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and capability to manage sensitive issues professionally.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a clear, professional manner.
