This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage the pre-joining and onboarding process for new employees across the US, Canada, and international locations, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
• Oversee payroll for employees in the US, Canada, and the global team, guaranteeing accurate and timely payments along with tax compliance.
• Maintain people policies, ensure labor law compliance, manage the employee handbook, and oversee the notion workspace.
• Handle employee expenses and reimbursements using Ramp, ensuring prompt processing and precise tracking.
• Organize company events, town halls, and recognition programs that employees genuinely anticipate.
• Ensure data accuracy across HRIS, dashboards, and other platforms for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Enhance HR workflows, automation, and tools to reduce manual labor as the team expands.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Security, and other members of the People team to maintain compliant and scalable HR processes.
• 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or related fields.
• Proven experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment demonstrating extreme ownership and adaptability.
• Familiarity with global payroll systems across the US, Canada, and various international jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of Canadian employment law, CRA coordination, and tax compliance.
• Hands-on experience in managing onboarding processes for employees and contractors to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
• Proficient in HRIS and other tools such as Rippling, Deel, Ramp, Asana, and Notion.
• Excellent organizational abilities with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Outstanding communication skills with the capability to build rapport with employees and contractors from diverse cultures and locations, handling sensitive information with discretion.
