This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop scalable People Operations processes from inception, establishing systems that facilitate company growth while maintaining efficiency.
• Assist in recruiting operations, encompassing interview scheduling, candidate coordination, ATS administration, reporting, and recruiting metrics to provide insights into hiring health throughout the organization.
• Manage end-to-end benefits administration, including enrollment, employee support, vendor management, compliance, annual renewals, and ongoing enhancements to the employee experience.
• Oversee HR compliance administration across various states, managing claims, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with insurance carriers and external partners to identify gaps before they become liabilities.
• Handle onboarding execution, which includes employment documentation, HRIS setup, benefits enrollment, and ensuring readiness for the first day.
• Assist in compensation planning, market benchmarking, equity administration, and annual compensation review cycles in collaboration with leadership.
• Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and HR operations, exercising sound judgment regarding when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate to leadership or external counsel.
• Continuously enhance HR systems, documentation, workflows, and reporting to improve operational efficiency and lessen administrative burdens.
• 3–6+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, Benefits Administration, or a generalist HR position with substantial operational responsibility.
• Proficient knowledge of U.S. employment law and multi-state HR compliance, with good judgment on when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate to leadership or external counsel.
• Experience independently managing a benefits renewal cycle, including broker coordination, plan assessment, employee communications, and open enrollment.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of building trust across all organizational levels while handling sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the capacity to develop processes, solve problems, and advance initiatives with minimal guidance.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment where priorities change rapidly.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or another hardware-centric industry is a plus; familiarity with ITAR facilities is also advantageous.
