This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with leaders in Clinical and Operations to implement a people strategy that fosters business expansion, team productivity, and organizational well-being.
• Guide managers in areas such as performance management, employee relations, team development, engagement, retention, and various everyday people-related issues.
• Enhance and fortify the fundamental people infrastructure, taking ownership or collaborating on initiatives like performance evaluations, talent assessments, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Spearhead and assist in cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing business operations, including policy revisions, job description updates, organizational design, team planning, and process enhancements.
• Work with leaders to convert company and team OKRs into actionable people strategies that promote execution and achieve business results.
• Detect organizational risks, talent shortages, and manager support requirements, and proactively suggest solutions.
• Collaborate with leaders during change management initiatives as teams adapt, expand, or reorganize.
• Partner with the Employee Relations Specialist to identify trends in employee relations, highlight risks, and propose solutions that enhance manager support and team effectiveness.
• Leverage data, trends, and business context to inform recommendations and address complex people challenges.
• Ensure adherence to relevant employment laws, policies, and people practices across a distributed workforce.
• Over 5 years of experience in HR or People roles, including direct experience as a People Business Partner or HR Business Partner.
• Background in supporting large, non-exempt employee groups, preferably in healthcare, clinician-facing, or other licensure-driven settings.
• Strong understanding of California labor laws and HR best practices.
• Previous startup experience, ideally in Seed to Series B companies during rapid growth phases.
• Exceptional business partnership abilities, with a knack for building credibility and trust among leaders in operations-centric teams.
• Demonstrated success in coaching managers through performance management, employee relations, team effectiveness, and organizational transformation.
• Experience in developing or enhancing people programs and infrastructure, rather than merely sustaining existing processes.
• Strong project management and execution capabilities, with the agility to shift between strategic and detailed tasks seamlessly.
• Data-driven approach with the capacity to utilize metrics and trends to guide decisions and recommendations.
• Excellent judgment, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of navigating sensitive situations with empathy, clarity, and discretion.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, able to work effectively in a remote setting.
