This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engaging in a variety of defined benefit (DB) pension projects for DB pension clients and bulk annuity providers, which may encompass any or all of the following, along with other project types as they emerge: Benefit correction or rectification initiatives.

• Execution of benefit creation initiatives, such as contingent spouse pensions.

• Conducting audits of benefit calculations.

• Developing benefit calculation proformas for administration teams to utilize in testing calculations for smaller clients, which involves performing calculations to verify against automated results and leveraging pensions expertise to identify errors or enhance automated calculations.

• Composing consulting reports related to various projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Essential experience in a defined benefit pensions consulting or technical setting.

• Comprehensive and practical knowledge of occupational defined benefit pensions.

• Flexibility to engage in various types of defined benefit pensions projects.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines.

• Effective communication skills with both actuaries and non-actuaries.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.

• Desirable progress with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams (if possessing an actuarial background – the option to start if not already advancing is available, but not mandatory).
