This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Guarantees a prompt and ethical editorial workflow for the designated portfolio.
• Engages in daily communication with editors, authors, and reviewers.
• Oversees the manuscript submission process for the assigned journal portfolio.
• Evaluates all submitted manuscripts to ensure compliance with each journal’s submission guidelines.
• Offers comprehensive technical support for the peer review system.
• Compiles reports on editorial metrics for editors and APA personnel.
• Develops process enhancements for the department and conducts training sessions for the team.
• Collaborates with Production Editors and Associate Publishers to implement journal-wide solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, English, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic publishing.
• Understanding of the editorial and peer review processes.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities (both written and verbal).
• Proven experience in a high-stakes, deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (User).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (User).
• Experience with email programs (User).
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat (User).
• Experience with Editorial Manager (preferred).
• Knowledge of iThenticate (preferred).
• Familiarity with DocuSign (preferred).
