Pediatric Pharmacist – MD Licensure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive medication reviews for pediatric patients, ensuring appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement holistic medication management strategies for pediatric patients.

• Offer remote consultations to caregivers to resolve medication-related issues.

• Educate pediatric patients and their caregivers on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and the significance of adherence.

• Work in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate seamless communication and coordination of care.

• Keep precise, timely, and updated records of medication management interventions.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in pediatric pharmacotherapy through continuous education and training.

• Engage in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of medication management services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution; an active pharmacy license is mandatory.

• Additional state licensure may be required upon request.

• Board certification in Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS) is preferred.

• At least 4 years of pediatric pharmacy experience with robust clinical knowledge across various disease states.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; capable of clearly conveying complex information in virtual environments.

• Proficient with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and online collaboration tools.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in remote documentation.

• Proven capacity to work autonomously, manage caseloads, and achieve productivity objectives.

• Adept at influencing and engaging patients and providers through effective and empathetic communication.
