PE Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• OpenEd Teachers are instrumental in guiding students throughout their academic journey.

• Teachers engage directly with students and their families to offer encouragement, accountability, and personalized support while collaborating with colleagues within the program.

• Assess and evaluate student learning logs, delivering timely and actionable feedback to facilitate student advancement.

• Interact with students in synchronous settings, whether in 1:1, small-group, or large-group formats.

• Mentor and tutor students enrolled in their designated courses.

• Develop captivating lessons, activities, or learning experiences.

• Customize resources and support to address individual student requirements.

• Identify students at risk and coordinate suitable intervention pathways.

• Communicate with parents to offer guidance and assistance.

• Participate in IEP meetings as necessary and collaborate with relevant parties.

• Work together with fellow teachers to share knowledge and provide support to students across the program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active teaching certification in Oklahoma, accompanied by a PE endorsement.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong recognition that each child is unique and thrives on personalized learning approaches.

• Compassionate, organized, patient, and a reliable communicator.

• Proficient in using Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).

• Confident in the ability to master various online tools, systems, and applications.

• Capable of working independently and adhering to deadlines with minimal oversight.

• Must have access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (may reside/work from any pre-approved location).

• Preferred: Experience in non-traditional educational programs.

• Preferred: Residency in Oklahoma is desirable, though not mandatory.
