This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Collaborate as part of a team to ensure the precise and timely processing of payroll and assist with intricate payroll inquiries.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and implement payroll tax and social security regulations accordingly.
• Provide guidance to hotel employees, managers, and HR representatives regarding payroll-related issues.
• Work in partnership with authorities and external organizations.
• Assist the accounting department with payroll-related tasks for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Support payroll tax and social security audits.
• Generate analyses, statistics, and reports.
• Actively engage in developing the in-house payroll function.
• Continuously seek to enhance processes and systems.
• Contribute to digitization and optimization initiatives.
• Completed vocational training in business administration or a comparable qualification.
• Multiple years of professional experience in payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax and social security legislation.
• Ability to independently track changes in payroll tax and social security laws.
• Ideally, experience in accounting or a good grasp of closing processes.
• Excellent numerical skills, analytical thinking, and a systematic approach to work.
• Accurate, self-sufficient, and pragmatic work style.
• Discreet and trustworthy handling of sensitive personnel information.
• Responsible attitude, especially during peak payroll and closing periods.
• Clear, dependable, and service-oriented communication skills.
• Proficient in DATEV and Microsoft Excel.
• Eagerness and capability to quickly master new systems and digital procedures.
