
Payroll Specialist Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Serve as a genuine subject matter expert for the country.
• Oversee existing relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
• Execute full end-to-end payroll processes in-house, including statutory filing, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.
• Ensure complete data integrity and quality.
• Handle payroll journals and reconciliations.
• Concentrate on KPIs and SLAs.
• Develop and enhance processes.
• Mentor and assist payroll specialists.
• Provide backup to regional managers during their absence.
• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, either in-house or with a payroll service provider.
• Familiarity with payroll best practices.
• Proficient in software tools such as Excel and Google Suite.
• Possess an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment with a desire to make a significant impact.
• A productivity enthusiast who continuously seeks ways to enhance and accelerate their work.
• Understand the importance of working largely asynchronously.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Remote work experience is not mandatory but is considered advantageous.
