This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Under the guidance of the Controller, oversee the payroll process, compile payroll statistics, and maintain payroll records.
• Collaborate with payroll systems providers and Human Resources partners, conducting audits and reviews of all necessary payroll deductions.
• Ensure the precise and timely processing of all payroll information.
• Execute complete and accurate processing of biweekly multi-state payrolls for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Manage payroll operations, including salaries, benefits, exceptions, court-ordered deductions, and payroll taxes for all Agency services and programs.
• Uphold employee confidence by addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Provide payroll information for audits and internal control reviews pertaining to the Payroll processing cycle.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-state payroll administration is required.
• Experience in preparing accounting journal entries.
• Familiarity with annual audits, various payroll filings, and new state registrations.
• Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll and benefit principles.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to effectively interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Extensive experience with Excel and HR systems.
