This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Accurately and punctually process payroll for over 400 employees across various entities and pay groups.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and swiftly resolve any payroll-related issues in a professional manner.
• Manage payroll transactions for new hires, terminations, pay rate adjustments, promotions, and other changes.
• Conduct payroll audits to detect and rectify discrepancies prior to finalizing payroll.
• Oversee wage garnishments, tax levies, benefit deductions, and other withholdings related to payroll.
• Reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll records.
• Assist in quarter-end and year-end payroll processes, including tax reporting and audits.
• Generate payroll reports and maintain payroll documentation in line with company policies.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Benefits, and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.
• Contribute to payroll process enhancements and support system improvements for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Uphold strict confidentiality regarding employee payroll information.
• At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related payroll-focused position.
• Experience in managing payroll for a mid-sized organization.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
• Preferred experience with Rippling; familiarity with Rippling is advantageous.
• Advanced skills in Google Suite applications, particularly Google Sheets.
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamentals in Payroll Certification) is a plus but not mandatory.
• A reliable personal laptop or desktop computer is required prior to the start date.
• A quality headset for virtual meetings and calls is required before the start date.
• A high-speed internet connection is necessary before the start date.
