This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Overseeing a portfolio of clients' monthly payroll functions from inception to completion.
• Ensuring timely and accurate salary payments for all employees.
• Updating the payroll system with updated pay scales, pension contributions, NI rates, and tax thresholds.
• Calculating pay modifications, including holiday compensation for departing employees and statutory payments (maternity, paternity, etc.).
• Guaranteeing precise payments and reporting to external entities, including HMRC.
• Upholding strict adherence to GDPR and ISO27001 data protection regulations.
• Possesses a degree and/or a pertinent payroll certification.
• Previous experience in payroll processing is essential (experience in the education sector is advantageous).
• Strong understanding of HMRC regulations, including Tax, NI, and statutory deductions.
• Familiarity with Auto Enrolment pension schemes is required.
• Proficient in Google Suite, with the ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
• Demonstrates initiative in leveraging AI to improve job performance.
• Exhibits a keen eye for detail and the capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Desirable: Familiarity with the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).
