This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure precise, timely, and compliant payroll operations while acting as a reliable resource for nonprofit clients.
• Oversee accurate and prompt payroll processing for designated client entities across various payroll platforms, pay frequencies, and state jurisdictions.
• Secure documented approval from clients prior to each payroll submission.
• Communicate specific client cutoffs, follow up on missing information, and escalate any late approvals.
• Review payroll registers and exception reports to confirm accuracy.
• Coordinate and supervise payroll tax filings and notifications across local, state, county, and municipal jurisdictions.
• Maintain payroll systems, which include new hire payroll setup, tax form processing, local tax setup, timekeeping input, termination processing, and garnishment management.
• Perform reconciliation of payroll deductions.
• Report directly to the Division Lead.
• Manage sensitive financial and employee information with confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Strong judgment skills under tight deadlines.
• Discretion in managing sensitive financial and employee data.
• Detail-oriented and client-centered approach.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience in managing payroll across various platforms, frequencies, and state jurisdictions is essential due to the responsibilities outlined.
• Familiarity with payroll tax filings and notifications across local, state, county, and municipal levels.
• Knowledge of processes related to new hire payroll setup, tax form processing, local tax setup, timekeeping input, termination processing, and garnishment management.
