This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees across various states.
• Review employee timesheets and address any discrepancies in collaboration with supervisors.
• Ensure the precise calculation of federal, state, and local taxes, benefit contributions, fringe benefits, garnishments, and deductions.
• Process garnishment information and communicate it to all relevant parties.
• Input and maintain comprehensive employment, payroll, timesheet, vacation, and leave data in the firm's HRIS.
• Oversee changes in the HRIS and update related fields and employee history screens accordingly.
• Reconcile payroll records and produce payroll reports.
• Compile monthly staffing and FTE reports for accounting, partners, the firm management committee, and administrative cabinet.
• Prepare reports for the Bureau of Labor & Statistics and other necessary documentation.
• Address payroll-related inquiries and process employment verification requests.
• Input payroll-related invoices into the accounting system.
• Report directly to the Payroll/HRIS Manager for daily operational management.
• A minimum of two years of experience in supporting a comprehensive multi-state payroll, with a preference for experience involving at least 100 employees.
• Strong computer proficiency and experience with spreadsheet applications.
• Familiarity with Workday HCM is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of database software and programming languages is preferred.
• Capability to grasp advanced HRIS database functions and programming/report-writing languages.
• Strong analytical and mathematical accounting skills.
• Proficient in spreadsheet, database, word processing, and record-keeping software in a Windows environment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information discreetly.
• Competence in collaborating with peers and team members.

• Proficiency in reading and understanding handwritten and typed notes or instructions.
• Capability to type on a computer keyboard while seated for extended times.
