This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the payroll operations of the organization, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee pay.
• Administer a multi-state, multi-union payroll system for approximately 2,000 employees.
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate payroll processing systems.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Assist with audits by supplying necessary records and documentation to auditors.
• Produce reports, data, and analytics related to payroll.
• Collaborate with the compensation team during the annual merit planning process.
• Identify and suggest enhancements to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
• Carry out other assigned duties as needed.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
• Five to seven years of relevant experience is required.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Proficient in payroll software applications.
• Familiarity with Workday or Ceridian payroll systems is a plus.
