This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• In the role of Payroll Lead, you will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in all aspects of payroll processing.
• Your responsibilities will include analyzing and addressing complex issues that require extensive knowledge of payroll operations.
• As an SME, you will be tasked with upskilling and mentoring team members through training and coaching to help them excel in their roles.
• You will oversee and manage the complete payroll process, adhering to established standards and client specifications, including all related payroll tasks and transactions.
• It is essential to follow the Payroll calendar and handle any deviations through the appropriate change control procedures.
• You will proactively identify upsell opportunities and assist with the Change Request process when discrepancies from the contractually defined service scope arise.
• You should comprehend both standard and client-specific payroll reports, including statutory year-end reporting requirements as dictated by the customer contract and service scope.
• Keep abreast of legislative requirements, system updates, changes, and overall payroll procedures while managing the payroll legislation roadmap.
• Provide support and guidance during all implementations and go-lives, ensuring adherence to automation and established standards.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and improving business performance.
• Address payroll-related inquiries and requests from both the team and clients, assisting the Operations Manager with client engagement activities.
• Support the sales lifecycle by providing insights into payroll practices and legislative requirements.
• Ensure compliance in the usage of all systems.
• Maintain the client solution and provide functional support as needed.
• Participate in or recommend innovation initiatives to foster continuous improvement.
• Actively contribute to team meetings and promptly escalate any issues to your Operations Manager.
• Stay updated with all Strada announcements and communications.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Payroll administration within an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing, or Corporate setting.
• Expert understanding of Dutch payroll processes, practices, and relevant legislation.
• Proficient in English, and knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft is preferred.
• Possession of payroll certifications, such as PDL or VPS.
• Strong knowledge of various inputs and outputs, including third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits, and other key areas related to payroll integration.
• Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Flexibility to thrive in a global and fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
