Payroll Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the complete payroll process for all employees utilizing Workday, in addition to the Deel platform for our global team members. You will ensure accurate calculations of wages, bonuses, and deductions, verifying that every timesheet and record is correct prior to payroll execution.

• Serve as the primary contact for the Workday payroll module: configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and collaborating with HR and IT on updates, integrations, and testing. If you identify manual processes that can be automated, you will have the resources and support to implement those changes.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, prepare and review tax filings, and confidently support audits. Generate payroll reports for leadership and accounting, assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes (including W-2s), and manage benefit deductions for health insurance, retirement, FSAs, and more.

• Act as a reliable resource for employees by addressing inquiries, resolving pay discrepancies, and guiding individuals through Workday self-service tools such as pay stubs and direct deposit updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience), paired with 3 to 5 years of payroll administration experience.

• Proficient, hands-on expertise in Workday Payroll is critical. We seek candidates with at least 2 years of direct experience in setup, processing, and troubleshooting within Workday.

• Extensive experience with multi-state payroll, garnishments, benefits, deductions, and tax compliance, along with strong Excel capabilities and comfort with payroll reporting and reconciliation.

• A CPP or FPC certification is beneficial but not mandatory. Familiarity with Deel, global payroll, EOR and contractor management, or system integrations among payroll, benefits, and time tracking platforms will make you a standout candidate, as will advanced skills in Workday reporting and analytics.
