Payroll Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete payroll cycle for Safeguard Global’s employees in South Korea after onboarding.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all company payroll policies and relevant governmental regulations that affect payroll processing.

• Investigate discrepancies in payroll reports and rectify any imbalances.

• Review and approve payroll reports to ensure accuracy in relation to stored information and client submissions.

• Regularly update and maintain key performance indicators (KPI), internal reports, payroll schedules, and master payroll data.

• Ensure payroll payments to employees are processed accurately and on time.

• Collaborate with clients to communicate and gather essential in-country requirements throughout the employee lifecycle.

• Monitor and manage employee data, ensuring that all records are current before payroll processing.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.

• Oversee the funding and billing processes for payroll by completing charging sheets and generating sales invoices.

• Maintain and archive all pertinent employee documentation in accordance with local compliance and record-keeping regulations throughout the employment lifecycle.

• Manage modifications to employment contracts and any changes following the initial onboarding, such as salary adjustments or benefits offered.

• Ensure prompt responses to inquiries from employees, internal support teams, ICP/ICE, and clients.

• Facilitate compliant offboarding procedures for all employees, whether on Indefinite or Fixed Term Contracts, including voluntary and involuntary terminations.

• Ensure that background checks are completed as required if not finalized before the first payroll during implementation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Two to three years of relevant experience in payroll processing within South Korea.

• Strong understanding of South Korean payroll concepts and local payroll legislation applicable to supported countries.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both the local language and English.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and analytical skills – capable of identifying, resolving, and mitigating issues.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

• Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach.

• Excellent organization skills and a strong focus on detail.
