Payroll & Benefits Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the entire monthly payroll process for Malaysia and designated regional markets, ensuring all payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, allowances, incentives, claims, attendance, and deductions are accurately validated.

• Oversee statutory submissions and compliance (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax and equivalents), guaranteeing that payroll operations adhere to local labor laws and regulatory standards.

• Conduct payroll checks, reconciliations, and validations before payment execution, upholding robust internal controls and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

• Accurately process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, and one-off payments while ensuring confidentiality.

• Coordinate and manage payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR providers—validating outcomes, addressing discrepancies, and enforcing service level agreements (SLAs).

• Generate payroll reports, reconciliations, and documentation for HR, Finance, and management, assisting in audits, budgeting, and compensation analysis.

• Recognize gaps or inefficiencies in payroll workflows and contribute to enhancements in standard operating procedures (SOPs), automation, and HRIS integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in payroll operations, ideally encompassing multi-country or regional payroll.

• Solid understanding of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory obligations.

• Practical experience with payroll systems, HRIS tools, and spreadsheets.

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.

• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

• Strong coordination skills to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
