This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accurately process multi-state payroll on schedule in Workday, encompassing both regular cycles and off-cycle runs.
• Reconcile payroll data prior to each processing cycle and address any discrepancies.
• Oversee stock/equity transaction settlement dates and ensure timely execution of tax deposits.
• Conduct audits of payroll results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Execute and verify tax deposits using Workday and ADP SmartCompliance.
• Maintain payroll records in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Utilize AI-driven payroll tools, such as Workday Payroll Agents, in processing and audit workflows.
• Keep an eye on payroll tax thresholds and deadlines.
• Assist with year-end activities including W-2 processing, ACA reporting, and payroll tax reconciliation.
• Prepare payroll documentation for audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Track and document essential payroll timelines.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Total Rewards on matters concerning compensation changes, new hire setup, terminations, and leave processing.
• Address employee payroll inquiries professionally.
• Document and standardize payroll processes.
• Contribute to enhancements in Workday and broader improvements in People Operations.
• 3–5 years of direct payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state context.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (mandatory).
• Experience in equity or stock-based payroll is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with ADP SmartCompliance and federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Understanding of IRS deposit rules and Form 941 reconciliation.
• Proven ability to meet tight, non-negotiable deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Strong skills in reconciliation and analysis.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes are still evolving.
• Excellent professional communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Willingness to utilize AI tools for workflow enhancement.
• Experience in using AI tools to boost accuracy, efficiency, or automate processes.
• Open to experimenting with automation, prompts, and system functionalities.
• Proactive curiosity and adaptability.
• CPP certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
