Payroll Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Accurately, timely, and confidentially process weekly and bi-weekly payroll.

• Audit and compute hourly wages, commissions, performance-based pay, and various compensation structures.

• Verify the accuracy of timecards, sales data, wages, deductions, benefits, and other payroll components.

• Maintain payroll documentation for new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, benefits changes, and other employee modifications.

• Audit accounts receivable and operational data, including sales, payments, and job holds that could affect commissions.

• Research and ensure compliance with relevant multi-state payroll and tax regulations.

• Review year-end payroll documentation, such as W-2s, ACA reports, and tax submissions.

• Produce recurring payroll reports and customized reports for leadership.

• Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with HR, Accounting, and Operations to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.

• Manage short processing timelines while ensuring a high degree of accuracy.

• Execute other payroll-related tasks as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience or experience in a closely related field.

• Familiarity with performance-based compensation, including commission, piece-rate, hourly, or blended pay systems.

• Experience in the home services sector is highly advantageous.

• Experience processing payroll for over 300 employees.

• Proficient in Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.

• ServiceTitan experience is strongly preferred.

• ADP experience is a plus, though not mandatory.

• Experience with multi-state payroll and payroll tax is beneficial.

• Strong analytical and auditing abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

• Capability to work under tight deadlines and respond swiftly to payroll issues.

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach when assisting employees and leadership.

• Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Availability Monday–Wednesday between 7:00 AM–7:00/8:00 PM CST based on payroll processing needs.

• Thursday–Friday availability typically around 9:00 AM–3:00 PM CST.

• Willingness to work weekends during certain holidays if necessary to meet payroll deadlines.

• Must reside in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.
