Payor Relations Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Supports the development and upkeep of financial data related to volume, financial performance, and profitability for each managed care agreement.

• Prepares initial interpretations of analyses for project teams, departments, and/or management.

• Aids in formulating reimbursement strategies along with policies and procedures pertinent to contract negotiations.

• Gathers and sustains up-to-date knowledge of the managed care landscape, including local, state, and national developments, while fostering relationships with relevant agencies.

• Assists in negotiations of contracts.

• Ensures that modifications in managed care processes are effectively communicated to and adhered to by FMOLHS and affiliated entity employees, thereby maintaining high-quality patient care.

• Strives to enhance the quality and efficiency of personal performance by staying informed about the latest trends in the field through participation in job-related seminars and workshops.

• Collaborates with internal departments (such as Financial Operations, Revenue Management, Business Office, etc.) to optimize reimbursement and address identified issues.

• Aids in resolving operational issues with contracted payers, which includes addressing reimbursement, operational, and clinical matters.

• Partners with affiliated entities to develop and maintain managed care contracts and strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 years of professional level experience in a hospital or managed care setting.

• Bachelor's Degree.
