This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and sustain clear, standardized documentation of payor requirements, submission processes, and authorization workflows.
• Develop and enhance checklists for prior authorization and benefit verification submissions across payors, ensuring uniform format and terminology.
• Annotate and categorize source materials (payor policies, portal captures, requirement documents) using structured, consistent labels for internal reference and system utilization.
• Edit and standardize documents prepared by others to ensure all materials maintain a consistent style, structure, and level of detail.
• Update documentation as payor policies evolve, with clear version control.
• Proofread and conduct quality checks on all documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity prior to publication.
• Research and verify prior authorization and benefit verification requirements across various payors (commercial plans, state Medicaid programs, etc.).
• Explore payor-specific submission processes (required documents, portals, fax numbers, CPT code requirements) when existing documentation is unclear, outdated, or absent.
• Validate information from multiple sources and evaluate the reliability of payor guidance before documentation.
• Foundational understanding of revenue cycle management (RCM), particularly with prior authorization processes.
• Strong technical writing abilities; proven capability to create clear, structured, and standardized documentation (writing samples or a portfolio are advantageous).
• A history of producing accurate, low-error outputs, where any mistakes typically occur in non-essential details rather than core facts.
• Experience in developing checklists, SOPs, style guides, or other standardized reference materials.
• Proficiency in annotating or tagging structured content for documentation or data systems.
• Strong research capabilities and comfort in navigating payor portals, websites, and policy documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and provide structure to ambiguous or undocumented processes.
• Strong written communication skills and willingness to integrate feedback.
