This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Taking charge of the construction and organization of the operational-technical team for a rapidly growing British Fintech.
• Joining the project in a consulting role.
• Identifying bottlenecks in payment flows.
• Designing the team structure (from Payments Support to Risk Controls).
• Acting as a partner to the client by advising on the competencies needed to ensure the stability of the global authorization and payment engine.
• A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in managing payment operations (Payments Ops), technical support, or settlements in the Fintech/Banking sector.
• Experience in building, recruiting, and scaling operational-technical teams (e.g., Payments Analysts, Support Engineers, Risk Specialists).
• Deep domain knowledge: card processing (Visa/Mastercard), transaction life cycle, reconciliation, and Anti-fraud systems.
• Strategic thinking skills—from mapping processes (failed transactions, incident flow) to cost assessment of the team in the Polish market context.
• Experience in close collaboration with Engineering departments (familiarity with tools such as SQL, API monitoring, system logs).
• Strong consulting skills—ability to engage in discussions with C-level executives on the client side.
• Proficiency in English (C1) enabling smooth negotiations and relationship building in an international environment.
• Ownership mindset—taking responsibility for the vision of the structure and its execution.
