Payment Processing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for managing incoming payments and addressing payment discrepancies with banks and insurance providers.

• Skilled in communicating effectively with banks, clients, attorneys, and patients to resolve deposit-related issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in processing incoming payments from insurance companies.

• Ability to sort daily incoming mail and direct it to the appropriate lockboxes.

• Proficient in contacting insurance carriers to confirm whether checks have been cashed and requesting reissuance when necessary.

• Familiarity with banking processes, including non-sufficient funds and international checks, is advantageous.

• Capability to work under deadlines and manage high-volume situations.

• Competence in multitasking and adapting to changes in a constructive manner.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Pleasant phone demeanor when interacting with external resources and patients.

• Previous experience in a medical billing office and knowledge of payment posting is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat products.

• Skilled in navigating insurance carrier websites.
