• Oversee the contracting strategy and its execution for designated national payer accounts, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals.
• Manage the lifecycle of contract documents across various workstreams, including maintaining version control and providing proactive status updates to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables by offering clear recommendations, identifying and resolving issues promptly, and keeping tasks progressing to reduce rework.
• Create term sheets, respond to RFPs, draft amendments, and formulate associated contract language to facilitate negotiations and renewals that accurately reflect pricing strategies, rebates, and discount structures.
• Organize document review meetings and ensure that partners are well-informed about document status, history, and the decisions necessary for progress.
• Manage both planned and ad hoc initiatives within Contract Development and U.S. Value & Access, coordinating inputs and timelines among stakeholders.
• Compile and generate contract documentation to support internal and external audits and litigation, ensuring thoroughness and traceability.
• Collaborate with the CLM system team to enhance processes and system improvements that reinforce contracting execution.
• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 2 years of experience in contract development or writing OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in contract development or writing OR Associate’s degree with 8 years of experience in contract development or writing OR High school diploma / GED with 10 years of experience in contract development or writing.
• Prior experience in contract writing, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Word; excellent administrative abilities.
• Capability to complete projects, make decisions with minimal supervision, prioritize competing document requests, and manage multiple documents simultaneously to completion.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to incorporate complex business strategies into contracts.
• Knowledge of the U.S. commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement landscape.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational capabilities.
• Competence in reading, drafting, editing, and comprehending legal contract documents.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sector.
