This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee advanced scheduling tasks for all patients.
• Arrange patient appointments through phone calls or electronic communication.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Address, resolve, or escalate patient-related concerns as necessary.
• Respond to incoming calls promptly while delivering excellent patient care.
• Schedule, reschedule, and manage appointment cancellations efficiently.
• Keep physicians' schedules updated and accurate.
• Collect and record precise patient information.
• Ensure that necessary procedures are booked in AGA endoscopy suites.
• Manage requests for information or appointments received through the eCW Patient Portal or AGA Website.
• Send information packets to new patients via mail or email.
• Respond to inquiries regarding patient appointments and information requests.
• Achieve or surpass quality and productivity benchmarks.
• Complete requests for information from other AGA personnel.
• Adhere to and promote HIPAA compliance standards.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing customer service training sessions.
• Perform any additional duties and/or special projects as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Excellent customer service abilities are essential.
• Must be able to type 45 words per minute.
• 2-3 years of experience in call centers, eCW, specialty clinics, and/or gastroenterology is preferred.
• Proficient in computer usage, capable of operating healthcare systems and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable but not required.
• A quiet workspace for remote work is required, along with adequate internet bandwidth to perform effectively from a remote location.
