This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Actively enhance the specialty pharmacy patient base by reaching out to eligible patients and enrolling them with Shields Partner Pharmacy.
• Inform patients about the services available through the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
• Uphold the values of Shields by maintaining confidentiality of information.
• Engage with patients via phone and present compelling reasons why the Shields Partner Pharmacy program stands out from other comprehensive pharmacy care models.
• Access patients' EMR and review chart notes prior to making outbound calls to ensure a solid understanding of the patient's condition and circumstances.
• Identify medications that require specific storage and handling, including hazardous and refrigerated medications.
• Determine necessary supplies for certain medications, such as sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related field.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory; a Bachelor's Degree or PTCB/ExCPT License is highly preferred.
• National certification from PTCB or an equivalent organization is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Opportunity to achieve national certification through PTCB or ExCPT within six months of employment via Shields classes (included as part of employee training).
