This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage and supervise the scheduling of virtual appointments based on provider availability and patient preferences.
• Assess and prioritize patients according to urgency and the appropriate level of care.
• Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patients across different sites.
• Work alongside healthcare providers to enhance virtual care scheduling and maximize appointment utilization.
• Relay patient-specific information and instructions to providers prior to scheduled virtual appointments.
• Ensure medical records, appointment details, and visit outcomes are accurate and current.
• Produce and distribute virtual care reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the follow-up on lab results.
• Communicate patient results in accordance with established processes.
• Adhere to procedures for reporting critical lab results.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to guarantee continuity of care between virtual and in-person services.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent professional experience.
• Active registration and good standing as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
• Proficiency in CTAS in a fast-paced environment.
• Compliance with the Emergency Nursing Scope and Standards of Canadian Practice.
• Experience in healthcare coordination, scheduling, and administration.
• Current CTAS certification with over 5 years of experience.
• Prior experience in a virtual work setting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Previous exposure to telemedicine or virtual care services.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Telephone Triage Nursing Certification is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Outstanding communication, written, verbal, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with virtual care platforms and basic technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and documentation.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and patient privacy regulations.
• Full availability from Monday to Sunday, including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
• Possession of multiple provincial nursing licenses is an asset.
