This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage a multi-tiered PFS team comprising Supervisors, U.S.-based Representatives, Nearshore Teams, and external partners.
• Serve as a proactive leader, addressing complex billing challenges, AR accounts, denial situations, and escalations as required.
• Provide one-on-one coaching and conduct live account reviews to reinforce optimal practices in billing, follow-up, and denial resolution.
• Facilitate live and structured training sessions on billing processes, payer requirements, and AR follow-up strategies.
• Maintain close oversight of daily billing and AR work queues, intervening as necessary to resolve issues and guarantee timely processing.
• Take ownership of performance across comprehensive back-office operations, including charge review and claim submission, billing edits and rework, AR follow-up and collections, denial management and appeals, underpayment resolution, and variance analysis.
• Establish and drive performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cash collections, billing accuracy and timeliness, first-pass resolution rates, denial rates and overturn rates, as well as AR aging and productivity metrics.
• Utilize data and reporting to evaluate risks, pinpoint performance gaps, and implement immediate corrective actions.
• 8–10+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations encompassing both billing and AR functions.
• Proven capability to independently handle billing, AR follow-up, and denial resolution across various payer types.
• Demonstrated track record as a proactive leader, engaging directly with accounts while managing teams.
• A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial position within a hospital or provider-based environment.
• Extensive knowledge of payer requirements, claim adjudication, billing workflows, and denial management.
• Proven success in enhancing cash performance, billing accuracy, and AR outcomes.
• Strong experience with Epic RCM, particularly in billing and AR modules.
• Advanced skills in Excel and reporting.
