Patient Financial Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Perform various tasks to support the revenue cycle, compliance, and enhance the patient experience.

• Complete registration, financial screening, verification, and patient throughput tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Achieve individual collection targets.

• Foster a close working relationship with clinical team members to ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients and caregivers.

• Present and thoroughly explain legal, ethical, and compliance-related documents to patients during registration.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, employees, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or relevant experience.

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced public health or Revenue Cycle environment, with proven experience in payment collection, including billing, sales, and customer service.

• In the absence of a degree or relevant experience, a highly motivated individual must demonstrate and/or role-play required skills professionally and convincingly.

• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, and possess excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and maintain an agile mindset.

• Familiarity with healthcare regulatory guidelines, including but not limited to, HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, etc. (Preferred)

• Understanding of insurance contracts, collections, authorizations, pre-certifications, Microsoft Office products, and EMR applications.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.

• Essential staff must be available to work weekends, holidays, and during emergencies.
