This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the main field-based educational resource for patients and their caregivers by providing information about the disease and therapy, and guiding them through the onboarding and treatment initiation processes.
β’ Establish trustworthy relationships with patients and their families, assisting them in becoming treatment-ready and navigating their journey as patients.
β’ Proactively recognize and tackle access-related challenges that could hinder therapy initiation, collaborating with provider offices, specialty pharmacies, patient support services, and internal stakeholders to find solutions.
β’ Oversee patient progress through onboarding and access procedures, acting as a reliable resource for complex cases and escalating issues as necessary.
β’ Cultivate robust relationships with healthcare providers and office personnel, educating them on patient support resources, onboarding procedures, and available access solutions.
β’ Collaborate closely with Market Access, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Specialty Pharmacy, and other stakeholders to address patient needs and enhance the patient experience.
β’ Provide field insights and identify trends that will guide patient support strategies, process enhancements, and best practices.
β’ Engage in launch readiness activities, field initiatives, and special projects that support successful therapy initiation and improve patient outcomes.
β’ Ensure accurate documentation, analyze territory performance, and take responsibility for meeting patient support objectives.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Generally, 8+ years of experience in roles such as a clinical educator, reimbursement specialist, patient services professional, nurse educator, rare disease specialist, or a related area in healthcare.
β’ Proven experience in assisting patients through intricate access and reimbursement pathways.
β’ Demonstrated capabilities in independently managing complex patient access and reimbursement scenarios.
β’ Strong knowledge of insurance and the access process, specialty pharmacy distribution models, prior authorizations, appeals, and financial assistance programs.
β’ Established ability to influence outcomes among providers, specialty pharmacies, patient support services, and internal cross-functional teams.
β’ Experience acting as a trusted resource, mentor, trainer, or informal leader within a field-based organization.
β’ Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
β’ Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (approximately 50β75%).
