📋 Description

• Plan and implement engagement activities for patients and caregivers across various environments, including individual interactions, meetings, programs, and conferences of all sizes, utilizing diverse communication channels.

• Deliver educational in-services for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, clinic teams, and advocacy organizations.

• Assist with national and regional advocacy events, conferences, and community initiatives, including those occurring during evenings or weekends as necessary.

• Gather and communicate insights from field interactions to internal teams and the National Director of PACE & DRS to enhance the broader educational strategy.

• Work collaboratively with the Residential Stakeholder Directors (DRSs), Rare Disease Specialists (RDS), Regional Access Directors (RADs), Medical, Advocacy, and Marketing teams to ensure prompt support and education regarding VYKAT XR for patients and caregivers.

• Act as a reliable and accessible resource for the PWS community by offering educational assistance without directing care or providing medical advice.

• Assist Caregiver Advisory Boards, including the identification and coordination of suitable advisors.

• Ensure timely documentation within the PRM system to record activities involving patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers (HCPs).

• Stay updated on disease-state and product knowledge through ongoing education and participation in relevant symposia, conferences, and other educational events.

• Use only approved resources and messages to carry out job responsibilities.

• Uphold the confidentiality of patients and their caregivers/families, managing all personal information in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

• All employees who receive information about a potential adverse event (AE) or serious adverse event (SAE) are responsible for promptly notifying the appropriate clinical and regulatory personnel, regardless of the event's severity.

• Management by Objectives (MBOs) will be established to continually evaluate the effectiveness of PACE educational activities and make adjustments as needed.

• Maintain documentation requirements for clinical licenses and clinical certification.

• Please note that this role is not focused on promotional selling and does not contribute to the achievement of organizational sales targets.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, dietetics, social work, allied health, or a clinical background; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; experience with rare diseases in specialty products is preferred.

• Background in the following specialties: Endocrinology, Rare Obesity/Hyperphagia, or Genetics.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in creating and/or delivering education aimed at patients, caregivers, or consumers, preferably in rare diseases.

• Previous product launch experience is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of the industry's legal, regulatory, and compliance framework.

• Excellent grasp of patient-literacy concepts and the ability to convey complex scientific or medical information in a patient-friendly manner.

• Proficiency in English.

• Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse cross-functional team.

• Exceptional communication skills and cultural competency, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.

• A self-motivated individual who is deeply passionate about rare diseases.
