Patient Collection Specialist – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the billing and collection processes for accounts with patient balances due to self-pay or insurance processing.

• Stay informed about Medical Debt Collection regulations.

• Review weekly patient billing and analyze reports generated from patient accounts.

• Adhere to collection protocols for overdue balances, utilizing texts and calls as necessary.

• Handle calls from patients regarding overdue accounts, ensuring accurate documentation.

• Engage in revenue cycle meetings and contribute to process improvement efforts.

• Identify and address billing issues while responding to inquiries from staff, patients, and insurance companies.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a medical office environment.

• Familiarity with practice management systems and EHR platforms.
