This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee incoming patient calls and effectively triage patient inquiries.

• Assess whether patients need appointment scheduling, medication refill requests, or clinical consultations.

• Arrange patient appointments and manage follow-up visits.

• Dispatch patient notifications, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications.

• Provide professional, compassionate, and timely support to patients throughout their care journey.

• Conduct new patient intake and onboarding procedures.

• Ensure precise maintenance of patient records within the EHR system.

• Complete and submit necessary administrative forms and documentation.

• Carry out general back-office administrative duties.

• Assist in managing Google Voice calls and call forwarding.

• Validate patient insurance eligibility and benefits.

• Process prior authorization requests with insurance companies.

• Offer billing assistance and coordinate with the practice's external billing firm.

• Support with insurance-related documentation and follow-up as required.

• Contribute to reducing the administrative backlog, allowing providers to concentrate on quality patient care.

• Aid in the ongoing growth of the practice by assuming additional responsibilities as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with providers and team members to ensure efficient daily operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Prior healthcare administrative or clinical experience is mandatory.

• Experience within a medical practice or healthcare setting is essential.

• Previous roles such as Patient Care Coordinator, Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Medical Administrative Assistant, Healthcare Coordinator, or similar are advantageous.

• Proficiency in using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a requirement.

• Experience with Athena EHR is preferred but not essential; candidates familiar with similar EHR systems and quick learners are encouraged to apply.

• Background in insurance verification and benefits eligibility is necessary.

• Experience in processing prior authorizations is required.

• Knowledge of medical billing processes and collaboration with billing teams is beneficial.

• Experience in patient scheduling, patient intake, and healthcare documentation is expected.

• Ability to confidently triage patient inquiries and decide on the next appropriate steps.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

• Strong phone etiquette and patient service skills are essential.

• Communication style must be professional, compassionate, and patient-focused.

• Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Must be reliable, proactive, and adaptable.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are vital.

• Comfort in supporting a growing practice and adapting to changing responsibilities.
