Patient Billing Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist patients with processing payments, educating them about billing, verifying insurance, and addressing inquiries related to claims.

• Provide compassionate, precise, and compliant support while navigating the complexities of healthcare billing systems and regulations.

• Execute all functions related to payment processing and payment plans, along with offering advanced assistance in billing, insurance, and claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in customer service or a call center is essential.

• Previous experience in healthcare billing, insurance, or claims is highly preferred.

• Experience in payment processing or financial transactions is advantageous.

• A high school diploma or GED is required; additional education in billing or healthcare is a bonus.

• Proficiency in EMR systems and standard computer applications is necessary.

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote or virtual setting.

• Must possess the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.

• A background check is mandatory in compliance with applicable laws.

🏝️ Benefits

• Starting pay - $14/hr plus a shift differential (an additional $1/hr for nights and weekends).

• Paid training - generally lasts 2 weeks, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (CST).

• Employment status - Full-time at 40 hours per week, eligible for benefits starting on the 1st of the month after 60 days.
