This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
β’ Oversee and execute professional billing tasks such as notifications, consent, and good faith estimates within Epic, adhering to the stipulations of the No Surprise Billing Act (NSBA).
β’ Leverage Epic tools, including WQs, reports, and various modules/applications to manage activities related to self-pay services, uninsured patients, and those with non-contracted plans.
β’ Facilitate the processing of relevant pre-service payments and assist in coordinating out of network authorization and single case agreement procedures.
β’ Analyze Epic WQs and reports that feature scheduled services to pinpoint and confirm non-contracted coverage assignments, as well as uninsured and self-pay services.
β’ Execute the good faith estimate process in Epic for scheduled self-pay services, uninsured patients, and those with non-contracted plans.
β’ Interact with patients and manage payment processing ahead of the service date.
β’ Collaborate with the division, clinical, and scheduling teams on the Epic referral triage workflow.
β’ Engage with pre-arrival, pre-certification, and WUPN staff to obtain out of network authorizations and single case agreements.
β’ Regularly communicate with physicians, clinical personnel, departmental and divisional administrators, and staff.
β’ Act as the point of contact for the department, division, patients, and affiliated hospital systems to synchronize notifications, consent, signatures, good faith estimates, estimate deliveries, out of network authorizations, and single case agreements as necessary.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or a combination of education and/or experience.
β’ 5 years of experience in Billing or Insurance.
β’ Not Applicable Skills.
β’ A driver's license is not necessary for this position.
